Alex Kim is one of the co-founders at Homebase, a consumer fintech company that is on a mission to democratize access to real estate ownership. The company launched in 2022, after dozens of conversations with friends centered around the idea that "I'm never going to be able to buy a home!" From there, our team of ex-Googlers/Amazonians set out to build a platform that enables users to invest in tokenized residential real estate for as little as $100. Our goal is to lower the barriers of entry to real estate investment, and give more people the opportunity to become owners. Personally, Alex has a background in robotics having worked at companies like iRobot, Thermo Fisher, and Alveo while investing in real estate on the side. At Homebase, Alex serves as COO and head of product, bringing market perspective and real estate investing experience to the product, codebase, and company.
