Megan Harris serves as the CEO & Founder of Empora, the
premier digital title company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. An
accomplished insurance technology product leader, she provides
transparency, visibility, and ease to the closing process for residential
and commercial real estate investors.
Reinventing the title process from the ground up, Harris’s career in
software product management enables Empora to evolve and iterate
quickly to meet the needs of real estate investors. She has a proven
track record of selecting, launching, and scaling revenue-generating
products in real estate as well as financial services industries.
Before founding Empora, Harris led growth and retention product
teams at Root Insurance to deliver an exceptional client experience and
drive business outcomes. During her time there, she partnered with
engineering, data science, marketing, and design to add over $50M to
Root’s Annual Direct Written Premium.
From 2016 to 2019, Harris was a product manager at SafeChain,
where she built, launched, and scaled SafeChain’s products in the
title insurance market. In her role, she collaborated with over 100
title companies, 20 county and state governments, and multiple title
insurance underwriters to learn the ins and outs of the real estate
process, as well as develop a product that fundamentally improved the
client experience.
Harris graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in
economics. She currently resides in Columbus, Ohio.
